Edmond Koyess
Assistant Professor, Department of Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics, Lebanese University, Faculty of Dental Medicine
Graduated from Saint-Joseph University of Beirut, Prof. Koyess received a degree in Oral Biology and Endodotics from Paris VII, and a Doctorate in Odontological Sciences from the Lebanese University.
Prof. Koyess is an international lecturer and has several publications in the field of endodontics. He is past president of the Lebanese Society of Endodontics and board member of the International College of Dentists. Prof. Koyess maintains a private practice limited to microscopic Endodontics.
Lecture title: Controversies in Minimally Invasive Endodontics
Lecture abstract: Economy in dentin structure, in both conservative dentistry and endodontics, has a direct impact on tooth survival. The trend of minimally invasive endodontics has generated controversies when considering overzealous tooth structure economy and the need of adequate management of root canal anatomy. The aim of this lecture is to draw a line between science fantasy and the laws of reality.
