Dr. Fahd graduated in 1987 from the Lebanese University with a BDS degree and got his diploma in biology of the mouth in 1996 (DUA). In 1998 he got his specialist diploma in Restorative and Esthetic Dentistry from the Lebanese University (DUB) and his specialist degree in Prosthodontics from the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

Dr. Fahd has several publications and lectures at a local and international level and cumulates more than 30 years’ experience in university teaching.

He is former chair person and director of the post-graduate program of the Restorative and Esthetic Dentistry Department at the Lebanese University, Faculty of Dental Medicine.


Lecture title: How to Rebuild a Functional Posterior Restoration

Lecture abstract: When restoring a posterior cavity, the dentist may face several difficulties. The aim of this lecture is to focus on reproducing tooth morphology during composite build up. Also it will motivate and explain to the audience the state of the art of posterior composite restorations.

In addition to basic fundamentals that dentists have been using, new techniques, like stamp and wax up technique will be presented. Through clinical cases, a step by step technique coupled to critical thinking will provide practitioners with the opportunity to apply knowledge acquired in this lecture to the practice of dentistry in a variety of patient care settings.

At the end of this presentation, the audience will have different choices for building up a posterior restoration offering the best treatment modalities for their patients.
