Dr. Antal is an Assistant Professor at the University of Szeged, where he has finished his university studies in Hungary. He has done professional internship in Halle-Wittenberg, Martin-Luther University, (Germany), Boston University, (USA) and New York University (USA). He has completed postgraduate studies in Operative Dentistry and Prosthodontics, and Oral Surgery. He is former head of the Department of Operative and Esthetic Dentistry at the University of Szeged. He was awarded an MsC in 2012 and a PhD in 2014.
He has participated in several international conferences in the past years as invited speaker. He was the president of Young Dentists Worldwide, member of the Education Comitte at FDI World Dental Federation and is an Honorary Lifelong Member of the International Association of Dental Students. He is member of the Hungarian Acedemy for Esthetic Dentistry and the Hungarian Implantology Association. He has special research interest in Esthetic Dentistry, Dental Implantology and Tobacco Cessation in Preventive Oral Medicine. He has published numerous articles in the named fields.
Lecture title: Implementation of the Newest Innovations of Digital Planning and Rehabilitation in the Daily Implant Surgery
Lecture abstract: Dental implantology has evolved enormously in the last decades. Amazing innovations have been done in both, surgical planning and performance. The shape and surface treatment of dental implants have changed a lot as well, in order to achieve more predictable osseointegration and high primary stability. Patients expectations have also raised from the need for chewing ability restoration to the state-of-the-art esthetic rehabilitation using newest innovations and technologies. CBCT planning so as 3D printed surgical guides have become easy to use and predictable tools in implant surgery. During this lecture, the lecturer will review the newest innovations in the above-mentioned topics including immediate loading protocols and guided implant placements.
