Dr. Wahid Terro is a Medical Doctor-Stomatologist . He received his Master of Dental Science in Oral Surgery, Medicine, Pathology from London, United Kingdom. He is specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Terro is a member of the International Association of Dental Research (IADR), the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (IAOMS), and the Pan Arab Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (PAAOMS). He is also a researcher at the University Hospital of Wales School of Medicine, United Kingdom and Consultant Doctor at the Special Olympics University in Washington DC, USA. In addition, he is Director of the National Medical Team, Special Olympics Special Smiles in Lebanon and Director of the International Health program of Special Olympics International in the Middle East and North Africa region.
He authorized and co-authorized many publications and has lectured in many conferences (national, regional and international) and courses in different countries around the world.

Lecture abstract:
Oral and Maxillofacial trauma may involve injuries to the soft and hard tissues of the face such as lacerations and fractures of the jaw bones.
In adults, facial trauma is usually more severe, caused by traffic or sports accidents or physical attack and involve the upper, mid and lower part of the face. The most frequent facial trauma are usually jaw fractures, cheekbone, orbital bones, and injuries to the skin. These cases may present isolated or panfacial trauma. In this lecture, reported cases of isolated and panfacial traumas will be demonstrated and discussed.
